Yes, LICH surgeons do scrub before entering O.R (I hope)

LICH was taken over by SUNY Downstate some weeks ago.  But by outward appearance at least, its cleanliness standards have sunk.

Here are some pictures of the outside of the LICH buildings between Amity and Congress streets.  Garbage, more garbage, weeds, graffiti, more weeds, more garbage.

Inside the hospital:  surely the surgeons still scrub there, although I haven't actually checked.

Do doctor scrub doesn't deserve a comment. As far as garbage outside lich, you should know that SUNY Downstate is subcontracting, grounds keeping and garden work to outside company. SUNY bright idea. Next time get your facts.

This is all being directed by Continuum & SUNY downstate to make the facility seem like it's crumbling...in reality, if you go into the hospital, and walk it's corridors, it is in good shape... it's just the gred of the board which will take away the only facility that serves so many people in this part of the city, the next closest place would be Methodist in Park Slope, and that is too far away during emergency situations.

I hate what New York has become, ostensibly a city that continues to be bought by the wealthy, and pushes out long time residents who help make up the soul of the city. If I hadn't lived here for 35 years, and had somewhere else to go, I would. BUT, this is my home, and LICH has saved my bacon on a number of occasions. We need uor hospital, we need to keep those who work there employed. Our community is much more vital, and attractive, with quality health care as an integral part of the landscape here. Shame on those who would sell us out for profit. I hope your bad karma will catch up to you one day when your cell battery is dead.
